Glass Care:

Dust with a soft cloth. If you need to clean the glass use an ammonia free glass cleaner. Q-tips can be used to clean corners. Do not use abrasive materials or cleaners as they may remove the patina. The metal on stained glass will likely oxidize overtime. This creates a natural aged look. I encourage you to embrace this look, however, if you prefer a shiny look you can use a gentle car wax (like Carnauba) to bring back the shine. Keeping stained glass pieces inside will keep them looking newer longer.

How to Hang:

I recommend hanging pieces from a nail or screw hook. If you want to hang them directly on a window, clear Command hooks are a good option. It is not recommended that you hang from suction cups because they often fail.

Materials:

Stained glass pieces are made with colored glass that is generally 2mm-4mm thick.

I use both copper foil and lead came methods to create stained glass pieces.

Unless otherwise noted, stained glass is held together with 60/40 solder that is 60% tin and 40% lead.

Glass Color:

The color of stained glass can change dramatically depending on the light and background. I try to show the variations in color, but if you have questions about the color of a specific piece feel free to reach out via email.

Lead Safety:

Stained glass pieces contain lead which can be harmful if ingested. Handling stained glass presents a minimal risk, however, it is recommended that you wash your hands after handling.
